STARS PROVIDES CRITICAL CARE IN LIFE AND DEATH SITUATIONS.

EVERY LOTTERY TICKET YOU PURCHASE HELPS KEEP US ON THE CUTTING EDGE.

Since STARS lifted off for the first time in 1985, we’ve flown more than 40,000 missions across western canada to provide critical care services in life and death situations.

RACING AGAINST TIME

In critical situations, every second counts. When an emergency call comes in, our team of paramedics, nurses and transport doctors has to act in an instant. Your support allows our STARS Emergency Link Centre to coordinate these calls and bring fast, life-saving care to patients in need.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

It’s not just helicopters. In delivering world-class care, we use state-of-the-art medical, aviation and training equipment in all our bases and education units. Your support makes this possible.

THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST

To save lives, our air medical crew needs cutting-edge training, and our pilots need to get them to the patients as quickly and safely as possible. Support from people like you is key to delivering this critical care.

JUST ASK MILT.

YOUR SUPPORT HELPED SAVE MILT’S LIFE.

After a day of working on his ranch, Milt Mastad’s dusky ride home took a turn for the worse. Unexpectedly, his horse bucked hard many times, severely injuring him. Luckily two of his daughters were riding close by, and one went back to the ranch to call for help, while the other stayed with him.

Milt made his way into the family SUV and was driven across the bumpy, rolling pasture back to the yard to meet first responders. He was in critical condition, and he needed to get to a major trauma centre quickly. STARS rendezvoused with the local ambulance, providing care in the “flying intensive care unit” enroute to Regina General Hospital, where he underwent several surgeries and began the long road to recovery.

Others may have sold the animal that caused so much pain and hardship. However, one year later Milt was back in the saddle on that horse, something that wouldn’t be possible without STARS and the donors who make the non-profit organization soar.
