What methods of payment can I use?
Cheque, Money Order, VISA and MasterCard. Direct debit available at the Show homes and the two STARS bases. No cash or post-dated cheques accepted.
Is there an age restriction on purchasing tickets?
Yes. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.
If I am not a resident of Saskatchewan can I still purchase a ticket?
Yes, however the ticket must be sold and purchased within the province of Saskatchewan.
How long does it take to receive an e-ticket confirmation by email?
Please allow 72 hours. If you choose e-ticket you will not receive a printed ticket by mail. If you do not have it by email within 72 hours, you can email customer.service1@stridemgmt.com. Please check your junk folder.
How long does it take to receive a printed ticket confirmation in the mail?
Please allow 2-3 weeks.
Is the ticket tax deductible/will I get a tax receipt?
No, there is no tax receipt issued as Revenue Canada deems that the purchase of a Raffle (Lottery) ticket is not a donation. All lottery winnings are tax free.
How many names can be put on a ticket?
Up to two names on a ticket. Should there be more than two purchasers, the Purchasers must keep a record of who is involved in the purchase. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name the licensee shall award the prize to only one of the individuals on the ticket. The licensee and Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) are not responsible for resolving any disputes which may arise between different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.
Can a ticket be refunded?
Yes. However, if any ticket purchased has been entered in any draw, no refund will be issued after the draw has taken place.
Who is prohibited from purchasing tickets?
Contest rules prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets:

  • Board Members and executive management staff of STARS
  • Employees of Black Fund Development Inc. and Stride Management Corp.;
  • Immediate family members of all those listed above; and
  • Anyone under the age of 18.
Can I order online from outside of Saskatchewan?
No, IP confirm requires all online orders to be made from within the province of Saskatchewan. If you are experiencing difficulties ordering online please call 1-844-STARS SK (782-7775) or 1-855-449-2444 to place your order.

If the tickets sell out early, when will the draws be held??
Should all tickets be sold out by midnight June 27, 2018, sales of the LUCKY STARS 50/50 lottery tickets will be halted and all prizes will be drawn on July 12, 2018 with SLGA approval.
Where will the draws take place?
All draws (Loyalty, Early Bird & Final) will be under the supervision of Black Fund Development Inc. and the firm of Stride Management Corp. The loyalty and early bird draws will take place at the STARS base in Regina and the final draw including the Lucky STARS 50/50 will take place at the Regina area grand prize show home, 309 Spruce Creek Crescent, Edenwold, SK. Any person wishing to view the draws may do so by attending at the above location on the draw date(s).

What are the Grand Prizes?
There are two Grand Prizes worth over $3.2 million:

1 - Furnished Showhome – Saskatoon
What are the Loyalty draw prizes?
There are 45 Loyalty draw prizes worth $91,250:
1 - $50,000 Cash prize
1 - $10,000 cash prize

25 - $250 cash prizes
What are the other 1,957 prizes?
4 vehicles, 10 vacations, 113 outdoor adventure, 2 helicopter flights, 5 VIP Rush Experience packages 217 cash prizes, 100 luggage prizes, 200 lotto prizes, 100 Cabela’s gift cards and 1,206 electronics and home appliances.
What is the LUCKY STARS 50/50 prize?
Cash value of the LUCKY STARS 50/50 prize will be a minimum payout $320,000 or 50 per cent of ticket sales, whichever is greater, to a maximum of $800,000.
Do I have to purchase a ticket for the STARS Lottery to purchase a ticket for the LUCKY STARS 50/50 Lottery?
Yes, LUCKY STARS 50/50 tickets must be ordered in conjunction with your STARS Lottery Saskatchewan ticket(s). LUCKY STARS 50/50 orders will not be accepted after your original STARS Lottery Saskatchewan ticket purchase.

WINNERS
How and when will the winners’ list be available?
A list of the top winners will be published in major newspapers in Regina and Saskatoon, and a full list will appear on the STARS Lottery Saskatchewan website (www.starslotterysaskatchewan.ca) approximately 10 days after the final draw.
How will winners be notified?
All winners will be notified in writing by Stride Management Corp. and in some cases a telephone call by STARS’ representatives about what they have won and how to claim the prize. If a winner cannot be notified after a period of one year from the draw date, the prize or equivalent cash value will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority.
Are ticket purchasers eligible for all prizes?
Ticket purchasers are eligible for all 2,005 prizes provided they purchase before the applicable cut-off dates.
How are the draws conducted?
The lottery draws will be conducted using an RNG (Random Number Generation) system. The winning raffle draw number shall be determined from the pool of sold lottery ticket numbers. The grand prize(s) may be drawn using a token system, this may include the loyalty draw, early bird draw and the final grand prize show homes.
Do prizes have to be accepted “as is”?
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutes, unless otherwise stated. All winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize, with the exception of homes and vehicles. All grand prize home winners must claim their prize by the advertised possession date and vehicle winners have 7 days from draw date to choose the cash option or claim the vehicle no later than 45 days after the final draw. Lottery prizes are tax free, and winners are not obligated to live in the showhome. Any costs associated with the delivery of a prize due to distance or unique circumstances will be covered by STARS. Restrictions apply for the following prizes:

  1. Travel – all travel prizes are valid for one year from draw date. Extensions will be granted upon request, and blackout dates may apply. In the event that winners of travel prizes do not wish to travel to the destination they won, they will have an option to take an alternate trip of equal value.
  2. STARS helicopter flights are valid for one year from draw date. STARS reserves the right to determine the date and the number of passengers on the flight based on availability of the helicopter. If the helicopter is required for mission activity, the flight will be rescheduled.

Who does the operational support for the Lottery?
Stride Management Corp., 3950 – 12th Street NE, Calgary AB T2E 8H9 is Responsible for the processing of all ticket requests, issuing and mailing of tickets to ticket purchasers, maintaining the website, supervising the draws and notifying all winners in writing. They also manage the call center at the address above.

How many years has the STARS Lottery been operating?
2018 marks the seventh lottery STARS has held in Saskatchewan.
How will the proceeds from the STARS Lottery be used?
The net proceeds from the 2018 STARS lottery will go to STARS to help cover direct costs of providing an air ambulance program from our two bases in Regina and Saskatoon.
